About The Program

The digitalization of healthcare is a growing trend in Sri Lanka and globally, creating job opportunities. However, Masters level training is rare, leading to a high demand for such courses. A course utilizing digital tools and collaborative learning projects will be offered to students in Nursing, Biomedical science, Physiotherapy, and Health Administration. The course aims to develop teamwork, communication skills, experimental design, critical analysis, problem-solving, effective communication, and time management, thereby maximizing employability potential and personal development.

The programme is arranged to provide thorough practical training to the students as well as to comply with the practicing environments of nurses. Therefore, the programme is strengthened with techniques of adult learning, student-centered learning and online learning where the learning can be paced comfortably to suit an adult learner.

Program Objectives

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Digital Health Course intends to prepares the students to become leaders of Digital Healthcare field.
  • The course aims to develop specialised technical knowledge and practical skills required for planning, managing digital health solutions to address real-world healthcare and social care problems.
  • This course aims to prepare the students for future changes in digital health in the healthcare and social care context via a comprehensive understanding of theories and current practices.
  • The course intends to train students to understand the healthcare perspective and create a strategic view of digital health product development.
