About The Program

This program is intended for making PRACTICE READY Health & Social Care Assistants, especially in the Social Care sector in UK. The program is designed in order to match with the skill requirement of an Adult Social Care worker in UK incorporating the core competencies and the standards of the Care Certificate to the curriculum.

Program Objectives

  • Provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human body structure, functions and common diseases, enabling them to assess and address health-related issues effectively 
  • Promote effective communication skills, including cultural competence, to ensure that graduates can provide compassionate care, support daily living activities, and address the diverse needs of individuals in healthcare and social care settings. 
  • Enhance students’ competence in promoting mental health across the lifespan, recognizing and managing common mental disorders, and providing support to individuals with special needs. 
  • Develop proficiency in occupational therapy practices, including care transitions, geriatric evaluation, and rehabilitation, to enhance the well-being and quality of life of elderly individuals with various healthcare needs. 
  • Cultivate professionalism, ethical conduct, and compliance with laws and regulations in healthcare and social care settings, safeguarding the rights and dignity of clients while upholding high ethical standards.   
  • Provide opportunities for students to apply their theoretical knowledge and practical skills gained throughout the program during clinical placements, ensuring they can effectively contribute to the delivery of healthcare and social care services in real-world scenarios.
