Empowering Global Healthcare Leaders: Shaping the Future, IIHS Graduation 2024
On November 5th, 2024, the International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) celebrated a significant milestone in healthcare education, marking the graduation of over 600 students from a wide range of academic programs, including Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees. This grand ceremony underscored not only the individual achievements of the graduates but also IIHS’s dedication to advancing healthcare education on both national and international levels. With this year’s ceremony, IIHS has trained over 5,000 healthcare professionals to date, showcasing its profound impact on the healthcare sector.
This year’s graduates included over 400 government nurses, demonstrating IIHS’s critical role in meeting the growing demand for accessible and quality healthcare services across Sri Lanka. Furthermore, the global reach of IIHS is reflected in its over 500 alumni currently contributing to healthcare roles in various countries, a testament to the institute’s commitment to preparing healthcare professionals for international success.
As the Coventry University learning center for the South Asian Region, IIHS conferred degrees on more than 200 Coventry University graduates during this year’s ceremony. These qualifications represent the high standards upheld by IIHS, ensuring that its graduates are not only academically prepared but also equipped to meet international healthcare standards. The specialized training provided through Coventry University programs empowers students to deliver compassionate and effective care, making a difference in the lives of patients around the world.
IIHS also achieved an exceptional milestone by honouring the largest cohort of Master of Nursing graduates in Sri Lanka.
