1.Will I be guided on finding accommodation upon my arrival at IIHS?
Yes. You would be provided with options to suit your budget and lifestyle. You have the option of making the final selection. Also, you are free to find your personal accommodation.
2. When do I need to arrive at IIHS?
You should arrive in Sri Lanka two weeks prior to commencement of the Orientation Program
3.Do I have to attend the Orientation Program prior to the commencement of the Academic semester?
Yes. It is compulsory that you attend this program.
4.When do I pay the semester fee?
Semester payment should be paid in full either before your arrival or one week after your arrival in Sri Lanka.
5.How do I obtain Visa to continue to study in Sri Lanka?
Initially you would enter Sri Lanka on an entry visa. A period of thirty days from the date of arrival to Sri Lanka will be endorsed on your passport by the officials of the Sri Lanka Department of Immigration and Emigration. Within this period your entry visa will be converted to Resident Visa in order for you to continue your studies at IIHS
6.How do I apply for Resident Visa?
You will be facilitated in the process of applying for Resident Visa. This procedure will be handled by IIHS officials in the International Office
7.Will my Resident Visa have to be renewed every year?
Yes. It will be renewed every year subject to your academic performance at IIHS
8. Am I allowed to work part time while studying?
No. As per the regulations by the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Sri Lanka.

International Students are required to enter into Sri Lanka on an Entry Visa which will be converted to a one year Residence Visa, upon your arrival. IIHS International Office will assist you to obtain clearance for entry and visa renewal. AIRPORT PICKUP All international students arriving in Sri Lanka for the first time will be picked up by a IIHS official and dropped off to a location of choice for accommodation.
