The International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) proudly announced the graduation of 800 students across various programs, including Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor’s, Postgraduate, and PhD levels, in a grand ceremony held on November 22, 2023, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

This year’s graduation marked a significant milestone for IIHS, as it proudly celebrated the achievement of graduating 3500+ healthcare professionals globally. Among them, 2500 government nurses have emerged as a testament to IIHS’s commitment to addressing the increasing demand for skilled healthcare workers. Notably, over 500 graduates have secured opportunities overseas, underscoring the global recognition of their skills and expertise.

An outstanding accomplishment was the graduation of 790+ nurses with Coventry University degrees, representing the highest number of international student graduates from any international branch of Coventry. This achievement highlights the exceptional quality of education provided by IIHS and its dedication to developing global citizens. The collaboration with Coventry University continues to demonstrate the institution’s commitment to maintaining high standards in education.

A particular highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of the highest number of Master of Nursing graduates in Sri Lanka for the first time, with an internationally recognized qualification. This achievement reflects the academic excellence and global standards maintained by IIHS.

The ceremony also introduced new leadership with the appointment of Prof. Nihal De Silva as the Chancellor of IIHS and Dr. Renuka Jayatissa as the Vice-Chancellor. This leadership transition showcases the institution’s commitment to academic leadership and expertise, ensuring the continued development of professionals who can make a difference on a global scale.
