This course will contribute to the professional development and upskilling of trauma and emergency nurses to manage the increasing patient numbers and concurrently strive to achieve ahigh standard of care.

This course aims to,

• Develop and/or reinforce knowledge and skills for nurses desiring to work (or are already working) in a trauma and emergency care environment. To achieve this, it specifically aims to:
• Provide nurses with an in-depth understanding of emergency and trauma nursing care.
• Provide nurses with a broad understanding of conditions that cause and motivate patients to present to emergency departments.

Allow the application of knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical skills to the nursing management of patients in an emergency setting.
